A few of the comments and photos we’ve received: “Hacienda Haven” - Fodor’s Guide to Mexico 2008 Trancas is a rare jewel set in the middle of Mexico’s crown. Wow! What an experience- we were “blown away” when we walked in the door…. And it just got better and better with each passing moment. Thank you is not sufficient to express how perfect our week at the hacienda was.Your personal touch and attention to detail was fantastic and the staff amazing.Everyone praises Yolanda who deserves it but Juan Antonio was also magnificent as were the gardener/driver, Yolanda’s helpers and the room staff. All my family agreed it was one of our best weeks ever. We all needed to be together and it was a perfect venue for the occasion. C&F, Brooklyn, New York
Both Art & I were just blown away by the house. You have beautifully brought it back to its grandiose splendor. We toured the unfinished parts and have no doubt that what ever your plans are, they will be wonderful. Art loved every room, the great details in the bathrooms & all the books you have around. I absolutely loved everything! Your staff is just the best, so nice & willing to help. Art doesn’t particularly care for mexican food (in the States), but once he tried Yoland’s caldo & salsa, he was hooked. He particularly enjoyed the mango, so fresh & sweet. And then Juan kept forthcoming a nice supply of beer, so he was a happy camper. That said, I know we will be back for more days, to fully enjoy the house, the peace & quiteness, go horseback riding, lounge in the pool & become plump & content on Yolanda’s food. We are having a great time in spite of the fact that a large hurricane is heading toward our home area, Pensacola. I am glad that we have the tv. Your place here is breathtaking. I can’t believe what you have done, and done it so well. The staff is looking after our every need. Alejandro is a great chauffeur. We want to go in to SM tomorrow night for live music. We also plan to go to Pozos. We are very happy that we found your Hacienda. The village is great. Also, I brought a lot of children’s clothes. I want to give them to the most needy place. Can you suggest where? We will be checking this e-mail often. Thank you.
Linda hello kelley, las trancas was just too perfect,the food and yolanda were incredible and she especially made a great impression on us ,we all miss her and her cooking….ijust hope i tipped them enough…the language was fun and especially the misunderstandings….comfort…beyond royal and the entire staff incredibly helpful and generous,,,,juan was totally there for you….he’s
We had a wonderful time. Your house is fascinating. What an incredible job you have done at creating the ambiance of another era.
I look forward to returning to see your progress. I did not have an opportunity to ride, but will look forward to it on another trip.
Juan, Lupe, Yolanda, Alejandro - all were gracious, attentive, and hard working. Having readily availabe access to a driver was critical to creating the afore mentioned “ambiance”. It allowed us to relax and never have to plan too far ahead , Alejandro was always available and ready.
We all enjoyed the evening meals prepared by Yolanda. We were not consistent with the dinner hour, and Yolanda also was always gracious and ready at the hour requested.
And Lupe and Juan take their responsibilities seriously, concerned that we were satisified with everything. They are delightful people.
