Hacienda Las Trancas is located in the heart of Mexico, about 4 hours northwest of Mexico City.

Situated in a small village outside Dolores Hidalgo, we are midway between the colonial cities of  San Miguel de Allende and Guanajuato.

To get to the hacienda from Dolores Hidalgo, take highway 51 towards San Felipe. We are approximately 14 km. from Dolores. Turn left when you see signs for ‘Trancas Viejas’ and ‘Trancas’, located just past km. marker 100.
Follow the road until it ends, about 3 blocks. You will see the hacienda on the right, with our entrance directly across from the church.

The closest airport is BJX in Leon/Guanajuato, just over an hour.
Continental airlines has flights from all over the U.S., as well as some of the other major airlines. We are happy to help you arrange for transportation from the airport, or we can send you detailed driving directions to the hacienda upon request.You would be following the new highway between Leon and San Felipe, then head towards Dolores Hidalgo.Thus you can avoid Guanajuato. We are located at km. marker 100.5.

When driving from the U.S., try to take the superhighway 57 from Saltillo ( crosses at Laredo.)

Visit us in our office in San Miguel de Allende. We are located on the main square directly across from the Paroquia. The office, Hacienda Vacations, provides rental information for Las Trancas and other local haciendas which we are representing.

We are available for our guests to rest and regroup when visiting San Miguel.
